Instructions

  1. Step Over

    • 1

Plant the foot on the side you want to go around the defender on beside the ball.

    • 2

Move the other foot to the same side of the ball, as if you will be pushing the ball with the outside of the foot in the opposite direction than you will actually be going.

    • 3

Step over ball with the foot that is not planted without making contact with the ball.

    • 4

Plant the foot that stepped over on the side of the ball opposite the direction you will be moving.

    • 5

Bring the planted foot to the side of the ball opposite the direction you will be moving, then flick the ball with the outside of your foot to progress around the defender.

    Jump Cut

    • 6

Run with the ball so the defender is exerting himself to keep up with you.

    • 7

Step in front of the ball with your inside foot.

    • 8

Flick the ball with the inside of your other foot so it passes behind the forward foot.

    • 9

Plant the foot which flicked firmly to stop your momentum, replanting the lead foot if needed as well to stop your forward momentum.

    • 10

Cut inside after the ball to beat the defender to the middle of the field.
