How to Do a Ronaldinho Elastic

Developing amazing soccer moves can make you a standout player. Pulling off ball tricks is essential for success, whether playing with friends for fun or competing at the tournament level. Doing a Ronaldinho Elastic trick involves pushing the ball from left to right using two swift movements. The movements are combined so fast that they look like one motion. Correctly performing the Ronaldinho Elastic move throws your defensive man wildly off balance and allows you to move by him with ease.

Instructions

    • 1

Place a soccer ball in front of your feet. Stand on your right foot. Position the ball of your left foot on top of the soccer ball.

    • 2

Hop up off of your right foot. Simultaneously, bring your left foot down to the standing position and place the ball of your right foot on top of the soccer ball.

    • 3

Repeat steps one and two slowly at first to maintain focus and balance. Increase speed as you feel more comfortable. Practicing this allows you to gain precision and speed while maintaining balance and motion.

    • 4

Kick the soccer ball a distance of 8 to 12 inches in front of you, and move forward toward a defensive player while you do so.

    • 5

Stop the ball rapidly with the ball of one foot when you come within 2 or 3 feet of the defensive player.

    • 6

Kick the ball slightly with the inside of the foot that stopped the ball. You will kick the ball about 6 inches to the right if you stopped the ball with your left foot. Alternatively, you will kick the ball to the left if you stopped the ball with your right foot.

    • 7

Swing the outside portion of the foot that stopped the ball to the opposite side of the ball. Kick the ball with the outside of the foot to the right if using your right foot or left if using the left foot. Use more force this time, kicking the ball a distance of 2 or 3 feet. Maintain balance on your standing foot as you kick to allow you to quickly move forward after the ball and maneuver around the defender.
