Booking a hotel and staying the entire weekend is very common and often expected. The camp focuses on pitching and catching, as well as other basics. The registration fee is $130. The Summer Lady: Baseball Camp and Youth Sports Camps
-
The Summer Lady, who in real life are Ann and Dick Travis, work as camp consultants for parents looking for the perfect fit for their kids for the summer. One of their specialties includes baseball camps for boys in Illinois. Youth baseball summer camps put kids up in dorms as they learn pitching and other essential skills that can then be brought back to their softball and baseball teams. Camps usually run for one or two week sessions. For more information, contact the Summer Lady at 866- 566-2267.
Create Your Own
-
There are many day camp programs, and also a chance to run your own camp if you're a coach or expert player. Renting a facility like Crystal Lake Park's various fields or the Oswego Wolves Softball Association's property allows you to design your own camp working with these organizations and local hotels or families willing to host young athletes. Designing your own softball overnight camp is simple enough to do, and fills a need for young players in the region.
