10 Clays
-
Ten clays is compatible with any number of players. Throw 10 clays for each shooter and make a mark for each successful shot. Advance the top shooters to a second round for large groups or reset and play again for small groups. 10 clays also works well in a bracket style format with two players competing against each other to advance in the bracket. The straight scoring is easy to track on paper and awards consistency. The most skilled shooters typically win at this game.
Knock Out
-
Knock Out is similar to the basketball version of the game where the original shooter must make contact to prevent being knocked out of the game. Place two or more people on the line and throw a single clay. The first in line attempts to strike the clay. Contact means the person remains alive and rotates to the back of the line on the next round. Missing the clay means the each person in line can shoot in succession at the flying clay. If one of the following shooters strikes the clay, the first in line is disqualified. The last person standing wins the game.
Single Box
-
Allow a single 25 count box of shells for each player in the game and build a bracket for the game. Use a skeet course with multiple throwers sending pigeons at random levels and directions. Each shooter plays the course until all of the shells are spent. Tally the total number of pigeons for each shooter against their competitor in the bracket. Advance the winner of each match to the next round. This game works well for two players or large groups and full day events.
Single Shot
-
Single shot places each player on the line. The first in line takes a single shot at a single clay. The player stays in the line with a successful shot and is disqualified with a missed shot. Each successive player takes their single shot until the end of the line is reached. The process is repeated until one player remains standing and wins the game. The single shot game produces intensity because it is a high pressure scenario with fast results.
