How to Improve Sig P220 Accuracy
Instructions

1
Grasp your pistol as high on the grip as is comfortable. Your pistol should be held firmly, but not tightly; a tight grip will exaggerate pistol movement, resulting in poor accuracy.
-
2
Align the sights on your target. The front sight should appear between the open space on your rear sight, which should both be centered on your target. Make sure to realign the sights on your target between shots, even if briefly. A common bad habit among shooters is to aim the first shot and then just to fire off the following shots in the same direction.
-
3
Pull the trigger within 10 seconds of aiming your pistol at the target. After 10 seconds your aim will naturally deteriorate. Deliberately squeeze the trigger until the weapon fires. Be careful not to jerk the trigger, as the sudden movement will cause your hand to move.
-
4
Practice with your SIG P220. The more comfortable you are with your pistol, the more accurate your shooting will be. This extends to practicing your shooting technique with an empty pistol, which can benefit you when shooting live ammunition.
