1
Remove the old grip from the racquet handle. If you have a wrap grip, unwrap it and remove the staple in the butt of the handle with a pair of pliers. If you have an old rubber grip, grasp the end with the pair of pliers and pull it off the handle.
-
2
Insert the handles of the pliers into the top of the grip and pull the handles apart as far as you can. This stretches the grip, which makes it easier to put on the handle. Rotate the handles 90 degrees and do it again. Repeat the rotation and stretching 5 times.

3
Spray the handle with spray lubricant until it is completely wet. Spray the inside of the Python grip, also. Hold the racquet firmly under one arm so the handle juts out in front of you.
-
4
Slip the top of the grip over the butt of the handle. Pull the grip up and twist as you pull so the grip will slide easily onto the handle. Continue pulling and twisting until the rings at the bottom of the Python reach the butt end of the handle.
-
5
Cut the rings off the bottom of the grip with a utility knife. Wipe off any excess lubricant at either end of the grip with a paper towel. Let the handle dry overnight before playing.
