The Best Running Shoes for Superpronation
-
Asics
-
Asics has been a leading manufacturer of running shoes and features three shoes with motion control to help to correct hyperpronation: Gel-Evolution 4, Gel-Evolution 5 and Gel-Foundation 9. The Gel-Evolution 4 is the oldest design but still an effective option. The Gel-Evolution 4 offers motion control and support while being light at the same time. The Gel-Evolution 5 is a slightly heavier version, has increased arch and heel support, and is highly recommended for injury-prone hyperpronators. The Gel-Foundation 9 is the newest motion control shoe by Asics as of 2010 and is recommended for any hyperpronator.
Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4
-
Nike offes one shoe for motion control and hyperpronators. The Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 is designed to slow down the inward roll of the overpronator's foot. The shoe is softer than most motion control running shoes and is recommended for everyday training.
New Balance
-
New Balance offers two options for the hyperpronator, the 1226 and the 1012. The New Balance 1226 is a heavier shoe, but features a plush lining. The 1226 is recommended for heavier runners with hyperpronation issues. The New Balance 1012 is also a heavier shoe compared to other running shoes, but provides plenty of support. The 1012 is recommended for hyperpronators who run longer distances.
