How to Assemble Swedish Goggles

When you purchase a pair of Swedish swim goggles, you'll receive two lenses, a nose string and nose cover, and a double rubber strap. The idea behind the separate pieces is that one size does not fit all. This allows a swimmer to assemble his goggles so that they fit comfortably.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold one lens in one hand and the shorter nose string in the other hand. Thread one end of the nose string through the small hole in the first lens. Pull the string halfway through the lens so it is doubled, with the two ends together.

    • 2

Slide the nose cover over the two ends of the nose string.

    • 3

Thread one of the two ends through the small hole in the second lens. Tie the two nose string ends in a double knot and pull the knot tight.

    • 4

Turn the nose string in a circle to tuck the knot up under the nose piece.

    • 5

Thread each of the rubber strap's two ends through the large holes on the outer edge of each lens. Tie the loose ends together in a tight double knot. This creates the double strap.

    • 6

Place the goggles on your head and adjust the rubber strap to a smaller size if needed. The strap should be tight around your head. Cut any excess off the rubber strap with scissors.
