How to Clean Hemp-Colored Tennis Shoes

Many tennis players take pride in the appearance of their clothes. This is why many players only wear their tennis shoes while on the court. That can keep your shoes cleaner longer, but it doesn't mean your shoes will stay clean forever. You can clean a hemp-colored tennis shoe the way you'd clean any other, but you will need to use a different finish.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply leather cleaner to a paper towel or cloth and then rub it to the leather, rubber or plastic part of the shoe. Rub from front to back and from front top to bottom.

    • 2

Apply suede cleaner to a paper towel or cloth and then rub it on the shoe fabric. Rub away from you and then return to your first mark and then rub away again. Do not rub back and forth because that could incorporate the stain further into the shoe. Ensure you apply enough cleaner to make the shoe completely wet.

    • 3

Rinse the shoe with water to get rid of the cleaner. Any cleaner that is left behind can damage the shoe.

    • 4

Let the shoe dry and then apply a hemp-colored refinish by shaking the can and dabbing the refinish onto the shoe.

    • 5

Let the refinish dry and then rebuff it so that it doesn't streak. Leave your shoe out so that it can fully dry before you wear it.
