The Orange County Community Tennis Association (OCCTA) provides a youth scholarship in commemoration of former pro tennis player Peter Smith, an NCAA champion coach at the University of Southern California. Scholarship recipients receive one free week of Smith's summer tennis camp at Seal Beach Tennis Center. Students must write a 100-word essay on why they want to attend tennis camp and must be related to an active member of the OCCTA.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) provides scholarships to talented young athletes who need assistance paying fees for training such as summer camps. The Player Incentive Award is a one-time $500 scholarship for students participating in USTA-sponsored tennis programs in local branches. Applicants must be students in grades six to 11 who demonstrate financial need, have a strong academic record and have a recommendation from a tennis coach or professional. The award is paid directly to the local USTA program or sponsoring organization. Students submit applications to their local USTA.

The Northern California branch of the USTA offers summer camp scholarships to talented youth. Students can apply to three camps. The same application is used for all scholarships. Eight scholarships are available for Nike Overnight Tennis Camps in California for youth ages 11 to 13. Two scholarships are available for the USTA's week-long National Junior Tennis League Camp for youth ages 12 to 14. Forty-eight scholarships to the USTA Northern California camp at Sonoma State University are available to students age 11-17. The Sonoma State University camp scholarships are split equally between girls and boys. All applicants must be current members of the Northern California USTA, demonstrate financial need and provide a ratings level evaluation from a coach or leader.
