The Carolina Tennis School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill permits students to stay for a day camp or overnight camp. The age range of students is 9 to 17 years old. With a 1-to-5 teacher-student ratio, they get extensive training time with the instructor. Regular camp sessions consist of match play, drilling, conditioning and strategy. Tournament sessions include singles match play, doubles match play, conditioning, strategy and drilling. They also use video analysis, which is meant to improve a player's understanding of their game.

Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa provides students of all ages with tennis instruction at clinics for adults, juniors and children. The tennis complex has been rated one of the "50 Greatest Tennis Resorts" by Tennis Magazine. The tennis fun camp is a summer camp offered for kids ages 4 through 14. It lasts one week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $225 per child per week as of 2010. Students learn the basics, depending on their level. To sign up, parents should leave a message on the sports complex voice mail.

Duke University offers a winter indoor tennis camp for all levels of tennis players, although most are tournament players. They are typically advanced players in high school who play with the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis. It runs during the evenings for 2 1/2 months from 6 to 8 p.m. Another option is offered through the Hollow Rock Racquet Club for ages 5 to 16. It is a winter holiday camp a week before Christmas that is also offered at the Duke indoor courts. It lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
