University of California San Diego Tennis Camp

    • Four different tennis camps occur at UC San Diego over the summer: boys & girls residential camp, boys & girls day camp, girls team camp and the presectional camp. For the residential camp, a players day begins at 7:30 a.m for breakfast with drills and technique beginning at 9 a.m. The day is full of practice and training, with even tennis night sessions around 7 p.m. These camps run at around one week each, but your child can be registered for multiple sessions. This residential camp is geared towards older students who can handle the intensity of the training as well as the taste of college life by living in the university's dorms.

The day camp has the same daily intense training sessions, but with the ability to go home for the night. It is also half the price of the residential option.

The girls team camp is designed for girls aged 13 to 18 years old with the incentive to form groups of six to nine girls into teams in order to play matches across California and the Southwest.

The presectional camp is for both boys and girls, running for one week during the summer from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. with lunch included. It aims at preparing junior players for sectional tournaments; therefore, students can expect intense drill work and conditioning as well as match play.
