Whether you're an expert or a novice at the sport or the language, there are camps tailored to your level. You may choose to train exhaustively or to combine matches and coaching sessions with language instruction.
  1. ISP Tennis Academy

    • Located 10 kilometers inland from the coastal town of Antibes, the ISP Tennis Academy has offered instruction to young tennis players since 1998. In addition to full-year instruction, the academy offers month-long intensive and semi-intensive tennis camps throughout the year. A typical day of the intensive camp includes between four and eight hours of tennis and fitness training. English and French lessons are offered Monday through Friday. The programs are open to students from 8 years old and up. A month of intensive training with full board and language classes runs 1145 euros as of August 2010.

    Flaine Junior Tennis Camp

    • Located in Flaine, near Mont Blanc, the Flaine Junior Tennis Camp offers tennis camps for youths of all levels, from ages 7 to 17. The camp involves approximately three hours of instruction daily, plus matches and tournaments. When students are not playing tennis, there are options for other recreational activities, such as golf, group sports, pool time or hiking trips. The camp lasts one week, from Sunday afternoon through the following Saturday at midday. Tuition for one week is 560 euros as of 2010. Two siblings or two weeks' tuition runs 1100 euros. The camp runs throughout July and August. One hour of French language instruction each weekday is available at an additional fee of 75 euros per week.

    Val d'Allos International Tennis et Sports Camp

    • Val d'Allos Tennis and Sports Camps offer several options for the tennis player looking to train; the "World Class Tennis" camp offers 35 hours of tennis training. The program lasts two weeks, with two sessions of tennis practice daily plus one hour of physical training. For a less intensive program, "Tennis and Activities" combines tennis training with other sports and activities such as mountain biking, mountaineering, football, basketball and water sports. For students of tennis and French language, the "Tennis and French" camp offers tennis training in French and two-hour practical immersion language classes. In addition, non-native speakers will take their meals and bunk with French campers for real-life language learning. As of August 2010, World Class Tennis Camp cost 869 euros; Tennis and Activities Camp, 829 euros; and Tennis and French Camp, 1099 euros. All camps last 15 days.
