Playing with a cracked racket can prove problematic. Cracks can compromise the grip and reliability of the equipment, reducing the effectiveness of your play. Only by completely replacing a cracked racket can you fully regain your game. Some simple tools, however, can temporarily repair cracks in a pinch.

Consider glue to mend the racket. Cyanocryalate glue, sometimes referred to as a quick-bonding "super glue," is ideal to use for broken cracks on rackets. Fill the crack with enough glue to fully cover the broken area. Allow it to fully dry before using the racket again. Wear safety glasses and breathing masks when applying the glue, to avoid injuries to the eyes and skin.

Tape the fracture securely. Use duct tape to repair tennis racket cracks, as it will hold up under substantial wear and tear. Place a few pieces of tape over the crack before using the racket again.

Check for a manufacturer's warranty on the product. Your racket may qualify for repairs included under the warranty. In some cases, you may even be able to receive a replacement racket in the case of such damage.
