1
Drain your pool using the sump pump or whatever means you have to do so. Many pools come with a draining plug. If that is the case, make sure you drain the water to an area where it will not damage flowers or plants.
-
2
Remove any faceplates, ladders and gaskets. These pool accessories can damage your liner if they are not removed before the liner is taken out.
-
3
Remove the lining bead from the top rail. The bead is the top edge of the lining that snaps into the pool's rail to keep water from leaking in between the vinyl and the base.
-
4
Remove the lining, then place it on a clear space free of debris or anything that might damage it. With it stretched out, sweep the lining and dry it with a towel or chamois.
-
5
Fold or roll the lining for storage. You may need to use a combination of folding and rolling depending on the size of your lining in order to fit whatever space you have available for storing it. A box is best to keep it in, but a tarp will also do in a pinch. If you have the original packaging, use it.
