Instructions

    • 1

Find an old skateboard or skateboard deck, or buy a new one. An ideal skateboard is one with an intact deck but wheels or trucks that have broken down.

    • 2

Remove the skateboard trucks, which anchor the wheels into the skateboard.

    • 3

Sand down any extraneous wood or materials that might catch on the underside when you are riding. The best snowskates have the smoothest undersides.

    • 4

Apply snowboard wax to the underside of the deck. This will protect the skateboard and cover up minor imperfections while reducing friction between the snow and your snowskate.
