-
1
Stay low and keep your weight on the balls of your feet. This gives you good balance and lessens your reaction time. Make sure not to lock your knees.
-
2
Perform the Granby by getting on all fours in the plank position. Pivot on your right leg and kick your left leg underneath your body. Grab your opponent's wrist and tuck it in to your body then roll onto your back while pulling your opponent down.
-
3
Pin your opponent down when wrestling by pressing his shoulders against the mat. Do this until the referee blows the whistle.
-
4
Pile on the pressure by threading your forearm behind your opponent's elbows. Pull them over his back and squeeze. Do a double arm bar by using both arms.
-
5
Get your opponent in a headlock by wrapping an arm around his neck. Lock both hands together. Make sure that your opponent's arm is in the headlock to prevent choking him as this in not allowed in amateur wrestling.
-
6
Cradle your opponent by gathering him into your arms. Put one arm around his neck and the other across the back of his knee. Lock your hands together and pull your opponent's knees to his face.
