Congratulations Cheerleading Yard Sign Ideas
-
Team
-
Highlight a team's accomplishments by bragging to everyone else through yard signs. Use several yard signs to share your message, especially if the team won a competition, placed at a cheer meet or a team is about to make its debut. Writing short messages in bright markers such as "State Cheer Champs," "#1 Cheer Squad" or "Go Cheerleaders" is easy to see from the road. The cheerleaders -- and everyone else who passes and sees the signs -- will know how the team did. You can also personalize the signs with the cheer squad's name to avoid any confusion.
Individual Team Members
-
Recognize the individual cheerleaders for a job well-done. Consider writing the first name of each cheerleader on the squad on an individual yard sign and then place the signs close together. Avoid writing last names on signs to protect each person's privacy. If you need to clarify a cheerleader using her last name, consider using her initial instead. Write the name in big bold letters so it's easy to see from a distance.
Share Cheers
-
Create a new cheer for your favorite cheerleader or squad. Try not to clutter the sign with too many words by spreading out the words on to multiple signs. The team will appreciate your creativity and may end up using the cheer during the season. Consider personalizing the cheer with your team's name to make it original.
Use Symbols
-
Create congratulatory signs using symbols instead of words. Using images of megaphones, pom poms, a trophy and the school's mascot can be just as effective as words. Either draw or use a computer program like Microsoft's ClipArt to create large images on paper that can be glued, pasted or stapled onto a sign. To avoid clutter, only use one image per sign. If using multiple signs, be sure to place them close together.
