Learn the words to "Across the Field," the main fight song: "Fight the team across the field, show them Ohio's here! Set the earth reverberating with a mighty cheer: Rah! Rah! Rah! Hit them hard and see how they fall--never let that team get the ball! Hail! Hail! The gang's all here, so let's win that old conference now!"
-

Learn the first verse to "Buckeye Battle Cry," which goes: "In old Ohio, there's a team that's known throughout the land--eleven warriors, brave and bold, whose fame will ever stand. And when the ball goes over, our cheers will reach the sky! Ohio field will hear again The Buckeye Battle Cry."
-

Follow with the second verse of "Buckeye Battle Cry," which is: "Drive! Drive on down the field, men of the scarlet and gray. Don't let them thru that line, we have to win this game today. Come on, Ohio! Smash through to victory. We cheer you as you go our honor defend--so we'll fight to the end for O-hi-o!"

Learn the main verse of the Alma Mater: "Carmen Ohio, oh! Come, let's sing Ohio's praise, and songs to Alma Mater raise, while our hearts rebounding thrill, with joy which death alone can still. Summer's heat or winter's cold, the seasons pass, the years will roll--time and change will surely show how firm thy friendship O-hi-o."

Follow along with the lyrics as you listen to audio clips of the fight songs you want to learn to sing. The Ohio State library website also offers links to the performances of all the songs they provide lyrics for (see Resources below). As these are official renditions played by the school's own band, the school's website is the best place to find them.
-
6
Purchase a compilation of college fight songs that contains Ohio State University's most popular tunes. Amazon carries a "Greatest College Fight Songs" CD, as well as other options (see Resources below).
-
7
Download the fight songs directly onto your computer, making sure that you adhere to all copyright laws.
-
8
Practice until you can belt out every song you wanted to learn to sing without any help from music or lyrical aids. Then, sing along with the crowd the next time you're in attendance at an Ohio State game!
