1
Become familiar with the words to "Indiana, Our Indiana," which is played at every game: "Indiana, our Indiana, Indiana, we're all for you. We will fight for the cream and crimson, for the glory of old IU. Never daunted, we cannot falter in the battle, we're tried and true. Indiana, our Indiana, Indiana, we're all for you!"
-
2
Sing "Hail to Old IU," the school's alma mater: "Come and join in song together, shout with might and main. Our beloved Alma Mater, sound her praise again. Gloriana Frangipana, e'er to her be true. She's the pride of Indiana, hail to old IU!"

Expect to sing only the last part of "Indiana Fight" at most games. Often the University marching band plays the first verse instrumentally, then all the fans yell the cheer.

5
Listen to performances of the fight songs as played by the school's band. Use a copy of the lyrics to follow along as the audio clip plays. If you have a slower Internet connection, you may experience problems with streaming audio playback. If you do, download the song, taking care to observe copyright protection laws.

Sing along as the song plays. Do not refer back to the lyrics sheet unless it's absolutely necessary to help jog your memory in places where you get stuck. With a little practice, you should be able to sing along without looking at the words at all after a few listens.
-
7
Get away from your computer, put the lyrics sheet down and try to sing the song without any outside assistance. If you cannot, listen to the song again and refer to the lyrics as needed. Soon, you'll know "Indiana, Our Indiana" and the other fight songs you wanted to learn by heart, and can join in next time you're in the crowd cheering your team on!
