Ways to Store School Letters & Pins
-
Varsity Jackets
-
Store your school's letters and pins by attaching them to a varsity jacket. Many schools sell these coats in men's and women's styles. The apparel often matches the school's colors and can even come with the school's mascot or name featured on the front or back. There are often designated spots on these jackets for letters and pins, including on the chest or down the arms.
Make a Display
-
Your school's letters and pins can be showcased at your home by creating a shadowbox display. Using one of these deep-set frames, arrange your pins and letters inside on a piece of paper or fabric. Use your school's colors to incorporate extra school spirit. Add a few photographs from the club or sport into the arrangement. This will showcase not only the pins and letters, but also how you earned them.
Design a Banner
-
Similarly to creating a shadowbox, students can make a fabric banner to store and showcase their school's letters and pins. Use thick fabrics that come in your school colors. The pins can be stuck through the fabric, while the letters may need to be sewn on. Embroider the name of your school or the organization you earned the memorabilia from onto the fabric. Finish the piece with a rope or string used to hang it on the wall.
Create a Memory Box
-
A memory box is a compartment of almost any sort that holds memorabilia and items that are dear to you. The container itself can be anything from a plain shoebox to an elaborately decorated trunk. The purpose of the memory box is what goes inside -- objects that remind you of a certain person, place or time. Putting your school's letters and pins in a memory box is one way to store the items and make them accessible in the future when you want a trip down memory lane.
