Military Summer Schools for Boys

There are many military schools in the U.S. that provide summer camps for boys. These provide memorable experiences where boys can benefit from adventure activities, military training and academic programs. The summer camps seek to improve the self-discipline, confidence and self-worth of the boys as well as develop their team work and leadership skills. This is achieved through a varied daily schedule that puts boys through their mental and physical paces. Summer camps range in duration from one to five weeks.
  1. Marine Military Academy

    • The Marine Military Academy is based in Harlington, Texas. It organizes a four-week summer camp for boys aged 13 to 17 every year in July. The boys learn what it takes to operate at full capacity and are encouraged to "seize the day." The camp offers a wide variety of team sports and military training activities. One of the highlights of the camp is the "Iron Man" competition in which "platoons" compete against each other in activities such as the obstacle course, rifle range, paint ball, a mud course and swimming.

    St John's Northwestern Military Academy

    • St John's Northwestern Military Academy is based in Delafield, Wisconsin. The school organizes five-week military camps in the summer for boys from grades 7 to 12. The camps are designed to help boys improve academically and include sport activities such as paint ball, rock climbing, sailing, archery and obstacle courses as well as leadership training. Four one-week camps are organized throughout July for boys aged 11 to 16. These include a summer adventure camp, navy adventure camp, aviation adventure camp and a CSI camp.
