How to Make a High School Volleyball Fan Shirt

High school volleyball games and spirit weeks supporting school sports provide a great opportunity to show team spirit and support your school. If you don’t have enough money to buy a team T-shirt, want to support a specific player or want to show off your creative side, you can make your own fan shirt with fabric markers and a blank T-shirt.

  • Fabric paints or markers
  • Washed T-shirt
  • Team logo
  • Straight pins (optional)
  • Cardboard (optional)

      Spread your T-shirt out on a firm work surface like a table or the floor. You can also secure the shirt to a large piece of cardboard with straight pins and lay the cardboard on the work surface to ensure the shirt does not shift.

      Create your design with the fabric markers or fabric paint. Draw your team logo, a volleyball, the number of a favorite player or a supportive message like “Go Team!” on the shirt. Consider using only your team colors to create the design.

      Wait for the shirt to dry. Turn it over and decorate the back.
