Ideas for High School Wrestling Shirts

High school sports teams want to show their school spirit. The guys and gals on the teams want to display their sports and their school pride on their clothing, which is why so many schools provide school shirts and other apparel. High school wrestlers want to show off the fact that they dedicate their time to wrestling by wearing their sport on shirts just as other teams do; that’s why having a team shirt that everyone likes is important.

  1. Mascot

    • Make your high school wrestling team’s shirts a myriad of school spirit by incorporating your school mascot into it. Have artwork of your school mascot wrestling mascots from your local schools on the front of the shirt. For example, if your school mascot is a tiger, feature a tiger defeating other mascots, such as pirates and Trojans, in various wrestling poses.

    Names

    • Allow each wrestler on the team to wear his pride on his back. Place his first initial and last name on the back of his shirt above artwork of the school mascot. If you use the mascot on the front of the shirt and would rather do something else on the back, you can list the names of everyone on the team in smaller letters beneath the last names of the players.

    Front of Shirts

    • Feature artwork of two wrestlers on the front of your shirts with the name of your school. For example, you can have a Tiger as your school mascot with your school name above the art and the name of the mascot beneath it. On the back you can have the phrase “Wrestling Team” and the school year of that particular team along with the names of the wrestlers so everyone can see and recognize the athletes on the team.

    Team Colors

    • Use school colors when you have your shirts made. If your colors are red and black, you can have black shirts with red and white writing or red shirts with black and white writing. In addition to T-shirts, you can have wrestling hoodies, sweat pants, jackets and pullover sweat shirts. Matching outfits makes the team look more professional and put together as you go into matches.
