How to Clean Snowboarding Goggles Without Ruining Them With Lens Cleaners

Snowboarding is a popular winter sport. However, it requires a lot of expensive equipment. To avoid having to replace your snowboarding equipment every year, learn how to properly maintain your gear. Cleaning snowboarding goggles may seem as easy as cleaning glasses, but harsh chemicals and lens cleaners can ruin them. All you need to clean snowboarding goggles is water and a microfiber bag. Exposing anything else to your goggles can scratch the anti-fog coating.

Take off your snowboarding goggles. Shake them to clear as much snow from the glasses as you can. You want to remove as much snow and moisture from the goggles and ventilation ports as possible. If you are near a faucet, rinse off the snow with running water.

Blot the remaining snow and moisture using the microfiber bag. This may not remove all of the moisture and snow; however, do not wipe or apply a lot of pressure to the interior lens of the glasses or you risk scratching the anti-fog tint.

Allow the goggles to air dry for a few minutes. If you are snowboarding, put the goggles back on and start moving. The airflow will help dry the goggles. Otherwise, just place the goggles on a table and let them sit until completely dry.
