How to Do the FMX Nac Nac Trick

The Nac Nac is considered one of the first and easiest Freestyle Motocross (FMX) tricks to complete. Because of its simplicity, there have been lots of variations to the original trick and many times other tricks are combined with the Nac Nac to increase the difficulty and point value of the overall trick during FMX competitions.

Instructions

Stand up. Keep your hands on your handlebars and your feet on your pedals until you're in a standing position. One variation of the FMX Nac Nac trick involves removing one hand, usually the right, from the handlebars for a One Handed Nac Nac to slightly increase the difficulty level.

    • 2

Dismount while air-born. Take one leg, usually the right, and swing it over the bike and place it behind the other leg, which should still be planted on the motorcycle's pedal. The ending position should appear as though you've dismounted your bike while still mid-air. Some riders will modify the trick to a No Footed Nac Nac by taking the remaining foot of the pedal during the dismount.

Get back on the bike. Once the FMX Nac Nac Trick has been completed, swing your leg back over and sit back down on the bike to prepare for landing. To add a little more to the difficulty level of the trick, you can vary the landing by doing a no handed or no footed landing.

Try variations or add other tricks. Because the Nac Nac is so easy, to do any good at competition with this trick, FMX riders will do variations of the trick or add other tricks to it to increase its point value. Some things you can try are the Backflip Nac Nac, Backflip Nac Nac into a Heel Clicker, Backflip Nac Nac into a Heel Clicker with a no handed landing, Backflip No Footed Nac Nac or Backflip One Handed Nac Nac. The variations and combinations are limited only by your imagination.
