1
Inspect your Quad to make sure that it is in proper mechanical order to handle the stresses of pulling a wheelie. Make sure your tires are properly inflated, your chain is tight, and the throttle is not sticky. All quads also have a wheelie bar on the back of them to keep the bike from flipping over backwards. Be sure to inspect it well for cracks or anything else that could cause it to fail at protecting you.

2
Determine your posture before beginning the wheelie. To do a sit down wheelie, position yourself towards the back of the seat and keep your feet firmly planted on the pegs. To do a stand up wheelie, fully extend your knees and keep your feet on the pegs the entire time.

3
Ride the Quad at a slow speed in a low gear just below the bikes power band. When ready, twist the throttle through the power band while pulling back on the handle bars. This will bring the front end up at a controlled speed.
-
4
Reduce the throttle to a constant speed once you reach the balance point. The balance point is where the quad doesn't require any more acceleration in order the keep the front end up. Once you are at this point, you can ride the wheelie out for as long as you want.

5
Straighten the front tires and let off the throttle to end the wheelie. It is also a good idea to accelerate a little once your front tires touch down just to make things smoother.
