1
Turn the skateboard upside down, and place it on a table or place where you can work on it. Apply a socket wrench and socket to the nut, keeping the wheel on the skateboard axle. Loosen and remove the old nylock nut. Make sure to catch the washer as the wheel comes off.

2
Hold the urethane skateboard wheel in one hand. Lever and pop out the old wheel bearings from the wheel with a Phillips screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver through the bearing, and push the screwdriver to one side to get the bearings to move until loose. Throw away the old bearings.

3
Install a new bearing into the wheel socket, and push it in as much as possible. Do the same on the other side of the wheel that uses dual bearings. Tap it home into the wheel using a socket and a small hammer. Check that the bearings are properly seated on both sides of the wheel.

4
Insert the wheel back onto the skateboard, and place the washer on the axle afterward. Screw onto the axle a new nylock nut. Tighten the nut with the socket wrench and socket.
-
5
Test ride the skateboard to ensure all the new bearings are working properly.
