How to Do a Saran Wrap on a Skateboard
So you've mastered the basics of skating and want to move onto the next level of tricks. Here's one invented by the legendary freestyle skater Rodney Mullen: the Saran Wrap. The trick gets its name from the movement of the front foot while in the air, grinding or doing a pogo. This trick isn't for beginners as it requires shuffling your front foot while doing another trick, so only attempt this move if you're confident in your skating abilities.

1
Skate toward the rail or another grind surface. Approach the rail with enough speed to carry you all the way through the grind.
-
2
Ollie onto the rail into the 50-50 position and lightly press down on the back foot to lift up the nose and perform a 50-50 truck stand.
-
3
Lift your front foot gently off the board so it is no longer affixed to the grip tape. Kick your leg forward in front of the board's nose and bring it back toward the deck in a circular motion.
-
4
Replace your front foot on the board and shift your weight forward to return to the 50-50 position.
