Skateboard Parks in Louisiana

If you seek to shred and grind on your skateboard in Louisiana, a number of indoor and outdoor skate parks are located throughout the state. Enjoy challenging obstacles, a fast pace, and a sense of freedom and adventure. Depending on the park, you may need to invest in safe pads and a helmet. Even if those items are not required, they always are recommended.

  1. Holy Roller Skatepark and Shop

    • Holy Roller Skatepark and Shop is located in the industrial area of Bossier City and offers a number of key amenities. The skate park itself is 15,000 square-feet and features challenging obstacles, such as a mini-ramp, hand rails, banks, quarter-pipes, ledges and grind boxes. As of July 2010, the price of admission to the park was $5 Monday to Thursday and $7 Friday to Sunday. A release form must be signed to skate and pads are recommended, although not required. An on-site skate shop sells everything that you may need, and classes and special events are offered on a rotating schedule.

    City Grinders Skatepark

    • City Grinders is a large park located in the heart of Baton Rouge. The park is fast and designed for intermediate to advanced riders. The set-up here is much like other parks in that it offers a number of challenges and trick areas. The park features a quarter-pipe, two pyramids, two rails and a concrete bowl. Full pads are required but a helmet, although recommended, is optional. Admission to this park is free of charge.

    Bayou Wheels Skatepark

    • Bayou Wheels Skatepark is located in New Iberia and is a challenging park for intermediate to advance riders. Features and obstacles includes a 1-1/2 pipe, mini half pipe, straight ramps, rails, quarter-pipes, concrete pyramid and boxes. As of 2010, cost of entry was $5. Full pads are recommended but not required. Helmets are required.
