Instructions

  1. Drop In

    • 1

Place the tail of your skateboard onto the coping (railing), with the rest of your board pointed out over the transition.

    • 2

Put your back foot onto the tail and shift all your weight onto it before covering the front bolts with your other foot.

    • 3

Rock your weight onto the forward leg and tilt into the transition. Remain in a crouched position, and ride into the top of the ramp.

    • 4

Extend your legs when you approach the bottom curve of the ramp, and ride smoothly through the transition.

    Axle Stall

    • 5

Ride up to the ramp with enough speed to reach the top. Lift your front truck up as you approach the coping.

    • 6

Roll up the transition, and simultaneously pivot on the back truck when the wheels touch the coping. Rotate ninety degrees, or until your rear axle lies perpendicularly across the coping.

    • 7

Plant the front truck down onto the coping and balance the board. It's best to pull the wheels that face into the ramp against the coping, in order to achieve maximum stability.

    • 8

Rotate the front truck back into the transition by pivoting on your back truck. Rock the back truck off the coping and into the ramp as you start to roll down.

    • 9

Keep your knees bent until you approach the transition, at which point you should extend them to maintain your momentum.

    Rock to Fakie

    • 10

Ride toward the ramp with enough speed to reach the top, and approach the coping perpendicularly.

    • 11

Lift the front truck up and over the coping while continuing to progress upward.

    • 12

Hook the back truck against the coping while simultaneously touching the front wheels to the top deck of the ramp.

    • 13

Balance the board in position for as long as you can.

    • 14

Push lightly down on the tail and begin moving back into the transition. Lift the front truck over the coping and ride smoothly back into the ramp, traveling fakie (or in reverse).
