Instructions

1
Cut nylon strap into a 38-inch strip, a 15-inch piece and a 91-inch section.
-
2
Fold each end of the 91-inch long strap under 1/2 inch and stitch together to prevent fraying and unraveling.
-
3
Fold each end of the two remaining strap sections under 2 1/2 inches and pin. Stitch closed 1 inch in to form end loops. Examine the boxed "x" stitching commonly used for stitching nylon strap dog leashes or backpacks, as this stitching will provide the greatest straps and prevent loops from ripping open, possibly causing injury.
-
4
Thread the 38-inch strap through one loop of the 15-inch piece until it is centered and thread the longer strap through the other loop to create an uneven "H" assembly.
-
5
Drape the 38-inch strap over your shoulders, allowing the 15-inch crosspiece to run down your spine.
-
6
Pull the ends of the 91-inch strap under your arms and thread each end through the nearest dangling loop on the 38-inch section, so that it appears from the front you are wearing a backpack.
-
7
Slide the desired number of weight plates onto your ab trainer.
-
8
Mount your ab trainer and lean forward. Grasp the hanging ends of your long abdominal strap and wrap the excess around the machine's handles. Keep straps in your grip around the handlebars as you complete your workout.
