How to Assemble a Weider Power Tower Yourself

The Weider Club 290 Power Tower is an in-home device for doing body weight exercises, such as dips, pullups, pushups and hanging leg raises. The Power Tower has a pullup bar with several grip options, dip arms, padded armrests and pushup handles. Raise the dip arms to move them out of the way when you are doing pullups. The Power Tower is 84 inches tall, 31 inches wide, 44 inches deep and it supports users up to 250 lbs.

Instructions

    • 1

      Place the U-shaped base on the floor. Align the center bar, with the warning label facing up, with the holes near the back of the U-shaped base. Attach the center bar to the base with four M10 bolts, washers and locknuts.

      Set the upright base over the center bar so the holes in the bracket on the upright base align with the holes in the center bar. Attach the upright base to the bar with two M10 bolts and locknuts, but do not tighten the locknuts.

      Position the upright support bar, which is the curved bar with brackets at both ends, over the curved end of the U-shaped base. Attach the support to the base with two M10 bolts and locknuts, but do not tighten the locknuts.

      Insert the upright, which is the long, straight bar, into the upright open end of the upright base. Slide four M10 screws through the upright support bracket into the upright and upright base. Tighten the screws and the locknuts from steps two and three.

      Attach the left handle to the pullup frame with two screws and washers. Repeat for the right handle. Push a round cap into the openings on each end of the pullup frame.

      Slide the bracket on the pullup frame into the top of the upright. Attach the frame to the upright with four screws and washers.

      Apply some grease to the large 200 mm bolt included with the Power Tower. Attach the dip arm to the center of the upright with the bolt and an M10 locknut.

      Attach an armrest to the dip arm with two M6 screws and washers. Wet the foam grip with soapy water. Slide an armrest cap, foam grip and a round cap onto the vertical dip arm handle. Repeat for the other dip arm.

      Attach the backrest to the upright with two M6 screws and washers.
