Polar Electro A1 Instructions

The A1 is a wireless heart rate monitor made by Polar Electro. The unit includes a chest transmitter and wrist monitor. The A1 offers basic features such as an exercise duration indicator and workout information recall with one-button functionality. It provides information about your heart rate and session length, but doesn't provide any other workout data. The A1 wrist monitor is water-resistant up to 100 feet and the chest transmitter is waterproof.

      Wrap the chest strap with the transmitter around your chest, just below your chest muscles. The Polar logo should face upright on the front-center of your body.

      Wet your fingers with water, pull the transmitter away from your chest and moisten the two electrodes on the back of the transmitter.

      Press the button on the face of the watch. Your heart rate will appear on the screen within five seconds.

      Pull the wrist monitor near the Polar logo on your chest and the elapsed exercise time will appear on the screen for three seconds.

      Press the button on the face of the watch to end your session. The average heart rate for that session appears for three seconds, then the total exercise time appears for three seconds. The wrist monitor then turns off.

      Recall your file information at a later time by pressing and holding the face button when the unit is off. Your average heart rate and workout time of your last session will appear on the screen.
