How to Fix a Derailed Cable on the Bowflex Revolution
The Bowflex Revolution is an in-home gym that uses SpiraFlex technology, instead of power rods, to create resistance. Adjustable cable arms on each side of the weight bench allow you to do an almost unlimited number of exercises. The cables on the Revolution are designed to give slightly with more use. Tension knobs on the sides of the machine allow you to tighten the cables, but you can use these knobs to loosen the cables so you can reset a cable that has derailed.
Instructions
-
-
1
Lower the swing arm to one of the bottom positions so you can reach the cable assembly.
-
2
Locate the tension knob on the same side of the machine as the derailed cable. It is a large black knob under the resistance plates.
-
3
Pull the knob out and turn the pulley that is under the knob counterclockwise to loosen the cable.
-
4
Grab the cable that is derailed. Lift it up and pull it over the pulley. Make sure it rests in the groove on the pulley wheel.
-
5
Raise the cable arm to the highest setting.
-
6
Pull the adjustment knob and turn the pulley under the knob clockwise to tighten the cable.
