How to Adjust the Resistance in the Graber Mag Trainer

Bicyclists use the Graber Mag Trainer to improve speed, endurance and strength. By attaching your bicycle to the device, you can exercise even if the outside conditions are too extreme to bike safely. The device supports the back wheel of your bicycle and holds it slightly above the ground. This makes it possible to ride normally and concentrate on maintaining proper form. The Graber Mag Trainer has a PVC roller with five resistance settings that increase the level of difficulty.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the resistance wheel attached to the bottom frame of the bike. The setting with the most resistance is the one where the wheel is in a completely closed position.

    • 2

Turn the resistance wheel counterclockwise one click. This will decrease the resistance level and make it easier to ride.

    • 3

Rotate the resistance wheel counterclockwise through the remaining three settings to reduce the resistance further. When you get to the final setting, rotating the wheel one more turn will reset the resistance wheel to the initial, closed position.
