Calibrating the Bowflex TC3000

Bowflex is a manufacturer of home gym and exercise equipment. The Bowflex TreadClimber 3000 is a combination stair climber, treadmill and elliptical trainer designed to help users lose weight by combining different types of exercises. Bowflex no longer manufactures the TreadClimber 3000, but the machine is still available on Amazon and other reseller sites. If you need to recalibrate the TC 3000, doing so is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug in the power cord and turn on the red power switch on the back of the machine.

    • 2

Stand beside the machine and press and hold the "Power" and "Slower" buttons.

    • 3

Insert the safety key while still pressing the buttons, making sure that the key is inserted properly and fully.

    • 4

Release the "Power" and "Slower" buttons. The time display should show "CAL," "PRss," and "Strt."

    • 5

Press the "Start/Stop" button. The Bowflex assembly manual states that doing so will start calibration. The belts will move and the display will show numbers, but this is normal. Don't interrupt the calibration process.

    • 6

Look at the time display after about 30 seconds. It should show the calibration results. If the display reads "CAL PASS" or "CAL DONE," then calibration was successful. Remove the safety key and insert it again to begin using the machine.

    • 7

Call the Bowflex customer service number at 1-800-605-3369 if the time display reads "CAL FAIL," or some other message, and don't try to use the machine.
