How to Adjust the Front Wheel on a Schwinn Double Jogging Stroller

Schwinn's Free Wheeler Double Jogging Strollers use a three-wheel design for a balance of stability and maneuverability. The front swivel wheel is balanced to help the stroller move in a straight line. Should the wheel become unbalanced and begin pulling to one side, a simple adjustment can correct the problem. The amount of air in the front tire can effect the stroller's ride. Too much air can cause the stroller to bounce too much, too little can make it difficult to move.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the quick release lever on the front wheel into the open position, where it should be parallel with the wheel's axle.

    • 2

Shift the wheel in the fork so that it is pointing in the opposite direction from where the stroller is pulling.

    • 3

Flip the quick release lever back into the locked position and test the stroller. If it is still pulling to one side, repeat steps one through three until it is steady.

    • 4

Remove the air valve cap from the inside rim of the front tire. Press the valve of your PSI gauge against the air valve on the tire to get a reading.

    • 5

Inflate the tire until the air pressure is between 20 and 25 PSI. Use short bursts from the air pump and check the pressure with the gauge in between bursts. Replace the front tire's air valve cap.
