The Setup Instructions for a Timeout Camper

Timeout campers are campers that are lifted off of the ground, and feature a walk-up entry and a bed platform. Most Timeout campers come with an air mattress bed, and some are equipped with table and chairs. These campers have an entry and windows, and come in a trailer that's towed behind your vehicle. Unlike many campers, you don't need a truck to tow this lightweight camper; most cars have the power required to pull a Timeout camper, making it a budget-friendly camping alternative.

Instructions

    • 1

Release the latches on each corner of your Timeout camper. Lift the lid up and flip it over so the feet on top of the lid are on the ground, creating the entry floor of your Timeout camper.

    • 2

Pull up on the bed legs and lock them into position. Lift the first half of the bed up and flip it over, so the bed legs are resting on the ground, opposite the entry floor.

    • 3

Release the bungee cord holding the tent's support pole, then flip the pole over to the side opposite where it was secured by the cord.

    • 4

Pull up the second support leg for the bed and lock it into position. Flip it over so the leg is resting on the ground and the bed is fully extended.

    • 5

Lift the end of the tent up, and roll the tent out over the bed. Snap the tent to the bed at the corners. Pull the front tent pole up and out, then snap the front of the tent to the corners of the floor section.

    • 6

Stand on the entry floor and pull the top of the tent opening toward you, extending the tent poles until you hear them snap into position. When the tent opens enough, you'll need to duck inside the tent, and turn around, then push the front wall of the tent forward to lock the poles in position. Move to the middle of the tent and push the poles upward until they lock. Do the same with the rear poles, pushing them up and out until they lock.

    • 7

Get onto the bed and wrap the hook and loop tape over the bar above the windows. Pull until the tent is taunt. Press the hook and loop tape together to secure it in place.

    • 8

Move to the exterior of the Timeout camper and go around the sides, snapping the tent frame to the floor and bed. When you come to bungee cords, wrap the cords around the legs that lift the Timeout camper off the ground, and secure them to the grommets on the tent to hold the tent securely in place.
