How to Stow a Jetboil Companion

The Jetboil Companion is an ingenious all-in-one personal cooking system that allows you to cook in the same dish that you can use for eating. Designed for camping and hiking use, this device has a metal heat sink that transfers heat from the compact burner to the cup, which is insulated with neoprene to prevent burning the hands of the user. The fuel canister and burner element used to create heat for cooking is designed to be stowed inside the cup for transport. Safely stowing your Jetboil for future use is as easy as following a few simple steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow to cool, then clean and dry the Jetboil cup, burner and fuel canister after use.

    • 2

Release the burner element by turning it counterclockwise to the cup. The valve on the burner should be fully closed at this point (turn clockwise).

    • 3

Unscrew the fuel canister from the burner by turning it counterclockwise and replace the plastic fuel cap that covers the fuel outlet nozzle.

    • 4

Place the fuel canister right-side up inside the bottom of the cup.

    • 5

Place the burner element right-side up on top of the fuel canister inside the cup.

    • 6

Place the charcoal-gray plastic lid over the top of the cup to keep the fuel canister and burner element safely stowed inside the cup.

    • 7

Replace the plastic cover over the bottom metal heat sink by lining up the two plastic knobs with the two notches in the metal base and turning clockwise. The Jetboil Companion is now properly stowed for transportation.
