How to Make a Rope-Climbing Net
Things You'll Need
- 12 pieces of 18 feet of 3/4 inch of soft braid multifilament polypropylene rope
- 2/4-inch ply sheet
- Peg Board.
- Ruler
- 6 Nails
- Hammer
Instructions
-
-
1
Measure and mark out a vertical point of 5/9-inch with a ruler on a ply sheet and two horizontal points of 11/8-inch from the vertical ends, to form a rectangular structure and mark out a midpoint on the two horizontal points, equal in distance to each other from the vertical points.
-
2
Fasten six nails with hammer into the marked areas.
-
3
Gather rope, place it around four pegs, and make a knot at the top left edge of the board to get your first cell. Double back, make a second knot at the top (midpoint) towards the right, tie and proceed to make next cell.
-
4
Extend the rope to the top right peg, and bring it down.
-
5
Position the rope towards the peg at the midpoint position of the board, and make a third knot adjacent to the first.
-
6
Remove the top left knot, and the top midpoint knot from their pegs, and fix the bottom left edge and the bottom midpoint knot at their position.
-
7
Bring down the rope from the top midpoint knot to the bottom midpoint peg, position it towards the left, take it up to the top left edge and make the last knot.
-
8
Repeat the processes continuously; to make several knots, until you have reached the accurate numbers of cells across.
