How to Take Apart Bushnell Scout 1000 ARCs and Put Them Back Together

The Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC is a laser-guided range finder for bow or rifle hunting. Point the device at the quarry, look through the eyepiece and press the button to get a digital readout of the yardage between you and the target. The device has a small computer chip and motherboard surrounded by the optic lenses, eyepiece and hard rubber case. A 3-volt lithium battery powers the unit.

Instructions

      Unscrew the battery cap with the flat-head screwdriver and set the cap aside. Remove the battery.

      Insert a long Phillips-head screwdriver into the recessed screw housing holes on the rear end of the Scout 1000 ARC. Unscrew each screw and set aside. Gently pry the rubber end cap off the back of the device.

      Unscrew the two screws on the front side of the device and set them aside. Pull the casing off.

      Pull the hard rubber casing off the main portion of the scope and set aside. Take care to do this is as dust-free an environment as possible as the lenses and laser optics are now exposed.

      Place the cover back onto the Scout 1000 ARC. Push the front and rear caps onto the device. Re-screw back onto the main body.

      Insert the battery back into the Scout 1000 and screw the ca back onto the device.
