Instructions

    • 1

Clean the surface you want to paint using ammonia-based cleaner, then lightly sand the area. Use the tack cloth to wipe away any dust and debris.

    • 2

Use the painter's tape to cover any areas that you do not wish to paint. This includes any hardware, mirrors or parts you wish to paint in another color.

    • 3

Using spray paint designed for use on plastic, such as Krylon Fusion for Plastic, paint the surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. Most will instruct you to hold the can 10-12 inches from the surface and spray a thin, even coat of paint.

Allow the paint to dry and cure according to the manufacturer's specifications. For items painted with Krylon Fusion, it is safe to handle them after one hour, but they should be allowed to cure for seven days before they are fully chip-resistant and ready for use.
