Mounting The CenterFire 4032
-
1
Loosen the two mounting screws on the bottom of the scope.
-
2
Slide the scope onto the dovetail mounts from the back of the rifle toward the muzzle. The rear of the eyepiece should be about 3 inches from your eye.
-
3
Tighten the two mounting screws on the bottom of the scope.
-
4
Look into the scope and verify that the crosshairs are vertically and horizontally square. If they are not, loosen the two ring mounting screws on the top of the scope and rotate the scope until the crosshairs are square. Tighten the ring mounting screws.
-
5
Take the gun outdoors and point it in a safe direction at a distant object. Turn the focus adjustment ring on the eyepiece clockwise or counterclockwise to focus the scope.
Zeroing The Scope
-
6
Take the rifle to a shooting range or other location where it can be fired safely. Bring a paper bull's-eye target designed for small-bore rifles.
-
7
Aim carefully at the center of the bull's-eye and fire a group of three pellets.
-
8
Retrieve the target and note the actual impact points of the pellets relative to the center of the bull's-eye.
-
9
Remove the cap from the elevation knob on top of the scope. Adjust the vertical impact point of the pellets by turning the elevation knob counter-clockwise to raise the impact point or clockwise to lower it.
-
10
Remove the cap from the windage knob on the right side of the scope. Adjust the horizontal impact point of the pellets by turning the windage knob counter-clockwise to move the impact point to the right or clockwise to move it to the left.
-
11
Fire another group of three shots at the target. If necessary, repeat the adjustment process to bring the point of impact to the center of the bull's-eye.
