How to Attach BHI Suspenders to an Ammo Pouch

BHI suspenders are older military issue "load bearing suspenders". The BHI style is available today in recent remakes or vintage finds. The BHI suspenders are made to hang packs, modules and accessories off, including ammo pouches. The loads, when on the suspenders, are made to ride low to the torso around the midriff and waist. Attaching an ammo pouch requires no tools and takes a scant minute.

      Unthread the outer suspender strap on the lower end. You only need to unthread one side.

      Slide the end of the suspender strap through the ammo pound sleeve, on the back of the pouch.

      Rethread the suspender strap through the suspender slider and adjust the height to your preferred setting.

      Bring the suspender up and over the shoulders. Adjust the ammo pouch. When full, bring it up against the body to prevent jiggling.
