How to Install an A-TAC Single Point Sling

The A-TAC single point sling is used for tactical firearms such as M4s. In addition to the military usage, the A-TAC sling is used for paintball firearms, making it a sporting tactical sling for paintball games. Any rifle equipped to handle HK-type snap hooks is compatible with the A-TAC sling. When the sling is on the weapon, pivot it up to 270 degrees across the shoulder and chest, much like a bandolier.

Instructions

    • 1

Unclip the HK-type snap hook on the single strand of the sling. This is where the round sling enters the attachment cord. Make sure your firearm is unloaded, with the safety on.

    • 2

Clip the HK-type snap hook to the rifle's attachment swivel, found near the neck of the rifle stock.

    • 3

Sling the A-TAC around your dominant arm's shoulder, so it rests across your chest and back like a messenger or attache bag. Hang the rifle either in the center of your chest or to your side, letting the arm cradle it during walks.

    • 4

Pivot the rifle via the sling cord by pulling on the upper or lower side of the sling in relation to the rifle. There is a 270-degree range of pivot, letting you sling the rifle over onto your back.
