Outdoor Accents Canopy Instructions

Outdoor Accent canopies are marketed and sold through Family Dollar retail stores and discount online retailers. Outdoor Accent canopies are designed as easy-up backyard shelters suitable for barbecues, parties and gatherings. Outdoor Accents uses aluminum telescoping poles and canvas fabric tops. When setting up the canopies, it helps to have an assistant as the canopy is heavy and unwieldy. If setting it up in heavy winds, use the stakes.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the canopy from the storage bag. Set it out on the ground where you wish to put up the tent.

    • 2

Set the canopy on its side so the legs point perpendicular to the ground. Pull out the telescoping legs until the lock knobs (small metal knobs) pop out of the lock holes on the legs.

    • 3

Turn the canopy so the feet of the legs are on the ground. Have a friend stand opposite you. Grip the edge of the roof fabric along the legs and have your friend do the same.

    • 4

Walk backwards and have your friend do the same. As you walk holding the canopy, the mechanisms move to erect the canopy roof.

    • 5

Stake out the canopy with guy-lines and the stakes if there is high wind. Guy-lines are strands of para-cord used to tie to the canopy (or tent) loops along the fabric edge.

    • 6

Push the lock-knobs in so the legs retract when ready to break down the canopy. Walk in toward the middle of the legs as your friend stands opposite doing the same. Put the canopy back in the storage bag.
