How to Attach a Med ALICE Pack to a Frame

The military's ALICE packs, or the All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment, is designed as modular equipment. This modular design lets users attach or detach special pods or packs as needed without compromising the other packs and gear. ALICE medical packs use a system of quick clips to attach to the ALICE main vest or frame. The medical clips are standard backpack style quick-clips, allowing the medical packs to attach to other frames and backpacks.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the ALICE medical pack on a flat surface and pull the attachment straps around the middle of the pack straight out, exposing the male and female ends of the quick clips.

    • 2

Clear away the section of the pack frame you wish to hang the medical pack. Grab the ALICE medical pack and place it over this area of the frame and wrap the attachment straps behind the frame poles.

    • 3

Turn the frame over and marry the male and female quick clip ends together.

    • 4

Pull the tightening straps off the quick clip to tighten the medical pack to the frame.
