How to Tighten Wheels on Rollerblades
Rollerblades is a trademarked name that has become synonymous for all forms of inline skates. These skates are made with a single row of three or four wheels. Over time and after a lot of use, the wheels can loosen slightly, making their performance level drop. Trying to skate on rollerblades with loosened wheels is dangerous because the unstable wheels make it difficult to turn or maneuver. All you need is the correct tool and a couple of minutes to tighten your wheels.

1
Test which wheels need to be tightened by trying to wiggle them from side to side. If any wheels wiggle, they need to be adjusted.
-
2
Stick the short end of an Allen key, a small L-shaped tool found in any home improvement store, into the side bolt hole in the wheel to be tightened.
-
3
Rotate the long end of the Allen key clockwise to tighten the bolt. Stop when you have to put extra effort to rotate the key any further.
-
4
Retest the wheel by trying to move it from side to side. It should stay solidly in place. Repeat with all loose wheels.
