How to Attach a Dive Knife to a Knighthawk BC

Dive knives are an important utensil in scuba diving. Dive knives are used, not only for protection, but also to cut yourself free if you get caught in seaweed, coral or other plants. Dive knives can be stored in a couple of places on your buoyancy compensator. Dive knives can be strapped to your weight belt, stored in the weight pocket of your Nighthawk BC or on your BC deflator hose.

Slide the dive knife strap through the slots on the dive knife sheath. Insert one end of the strap through the slot and attach it to the buckle on the other side of the strap. Insert the other strap through the lower slot on the dive knife sheath and connect it to the buckle. Strap the dive knife sheath straps to your BCD deflator hose. Wrap both sheath straps around the deflator hose located near your gauges. Pull the loose ends of the straps to tighten and secure the knife to your deflator hose.
